The photo was taken in Dramaga District, Bogor City, December 2022
I captured the photograph as it simply can describe the change of the city . It is used to be a small town set up as a garden city by Dutch colonialist visited for leisure and until 1970-1980, people knew Bogor as a place who offered them fresh air and green views, everywhere.
However, people who thinks that way will immediately be disappointed. Bogor has been no longer a town, it has become a metropolis imitating Jakarta, the current Indonesia’s capital.
The hut in the middle of banana field represent what people might see in the past and the tall building, which is a symbol of a metropolis, in the background is where Bogor will be in future.
But I still love green view than the building.
